Salman Khan has been receiving threats from the Lawrence gang for a long time. In the last one week alone, he has received two threats. Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend Somi Ali said that Salman has been receiving threats from the underworld since the 90s. Once an underworld person called on the landline and threatened to kidnap Salman's girlfriend Somi.
In a recent interview to IANS, Somi Ali said that she used to live in the Galaxy apartment with Salman. One day she was alone at home when she received a call from the underworld on the landline. He said that the call came on the landline of the bedroom. A man asked me, who are you talking about? I was taught to speak politely while living in Pakistan. I replied, who are you talking about? So he started saying where is brother? I said, look Salman Sahib has gone for shooting at this time. He said, tell him that we will take Somi Ali. He knows who we are. He knows we belong to the underworld. I was very scared, because Divya (Divya Bharti) told me that he is like mafia.
Somi further stated in the conversation that when she told Salman about that call, he in reply advised Somi to stay away from these issues. Somi said, Salman used to keep me away from these things. I asked Salman about this. He said Somi, it's good that you don't get information about this, because you don't know about it. This will be safe for you. He always kept me away from all this.
Somi Ali further stated that at that time news of the underworld was everywhere. Every day there were reports that heroines received threats that their contracts would be given away if they did not do a film.
