Ugh Ho Sooraj Dev… Singer Sarada Sinha ill health: Admission to AIIMS Delhi; Made an entry in Bollywood with the song 'Kahe Tohse Sajna Yeh Tohri Sajniyan…'

Padma Bhushan honored folk singer Sharda Sinha is ill. He is undergoing treatment in the ICU of Delhi AIIMS. During a conversation with Bhaskar, Sharda Sinha's son Anshuman Sinha said that he has been admitted to Delhi AIIMS for the past one week. Today, his health deteriorated.

He was having difficulty in eating and drinking for the last 7 days. After which he was admitted to Delhi AIIMS. He is under the supervision of doctors. His condition is deteriorating day by day. Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey spoke to Sharda Sinha's son on phone. He said that every possible help would be provided by the state and center for better treatment.

It is to be noted that on September 22 this year, Sharda Sinha's husband Brajkishore Sinha died due to brain haemorrhage. Sharda Sinha is known for six songs. Six songs sung by him are still loved by people even today. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2018 for his contribution to music. Sharda Sinha's singing career started with a song sung at her brother's wedding.

Sharda Sinha was married to Brajkishore Sinha, a resident of Sihama, Diara area of ​​Begusarai. Where he had to face opposition from his in-laws to fulfill his dreams. But Sarada Sinha's father and husband supported her.

Started the journey of folk songs from his own backyard Sharda Sinha, who has given her voice to songs in several languages, started with a song sung at her brother's wedding. Recalling this incident in an interview given to Bhaskar 2 years ago, Sharda Sinha said-

'My first recorded song was the one I sang for the first time at my brother's wedding. I sang this song to ask for neg(gift) of kohbar dwar chekai from my brother because my elder sister in law said you won't get neg like this, ask by singing. So I sang “Dwar ke chchikai neg pahle chukaio, hey dularua bhaiya, tab jahiya kohbar apan.”

Sharda Sinha has received Padma Shri in 1991, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2000, Ahilya Devi Award in 2006, Bihar Government Award in 2015 and Padma Bhushan Award in 2018 for her singing.

Started singing six songs in 1978 Earlier Chhath songs were not popular. Sharda Sinha first recorded 'Ugo Ho Sooraj Dev Bhail Argh Kear Baer' in the year 1978. People liked this song a lot.

Not only this, Sharda Sinha has sung songs like 'Babul Jo Tumne Sikhaya…' from Rajshree Production's superhit film 'Hum Aapke Hai Kaun', 'Keh Tohse Sajna Yeh Tohri Sajniyan…' from 'Maine Pyar Kiya'.
