The underworld fired at Rakesh Roshan: The director said- the driver was shaking, I called Hrithik that he would not leave the house

January 21, 2000 Friday.

Rakesh Roshan was shot while leaving his office on Tilak Road. One bullet hit his shoulder and the other on the chest, yet he went to the police station before the hospital and lodged a complaint. The attack was carried out by the people of the underworld. After the success of the film 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai', the people of the underworld demanded money from Rakesh Roshan, which he refused. Rakesh Roshan has recently said that he had called son Hrithik Roshan's first job after the bullet.

“My driver was shaking after the shootout,” Rakesh Roshan said in a recent interview. After a little further, I asked him to park the car and relax for a few minutes. I didn't know I was shot. The driver was shaking. I told her to relax and then go to the police station. Those people will be around here. If we tell the police, those people will probably be caught. When we reached the police station, I saw that my shirt was wet and blood was flowing. So I built a handkerchief.

Rakesh Roshan further said that when we were written to the complaint, the police took me to his jeep to a financial hospital. My car's windshield was broken. Upon arriving at the hospital, I called my father -in -law and said that I was in a financial hospital. There is a firing, I'm okay, no need to panic. You can easily give this message to my wife Pinky and son.

Hrithik was at Yash Chopra's house when the shooting took place Rakesh Roshan further said that I called Hrithik again, at that time he was at Yash Chopra's house. I said that Duggu (Hrithik) did not come out of the house. Come with him when Om G (father -in -law) calls. Then the surgery was done and the bullet was removed. I felt that if I was nervous, the family would be nervous. So I dared to know that nothing had happened to me. Because I thought, that's why I was behaving like this.
