Amit Sial starrer 'Tikadam' will be streamed on Jio Cinemas on 23rd August. The film is directed by Vivek Anchalia. This is the first film under his direction. Amit Sial shared his experiences related to this film with Frontpage Insights. He said that the life of migrant laborers has been shown in this film very beautifully. Amit Sial also revealed that he shot the film in a village near Nainital, where the entire team stayed for 30-40 days. Amit has shared maximum screen space with children in this film. On that he says that working with children during the shoot was not very difficult. However, actors have to work on behalf of children. Amit starts a conversation with Sial…. Q- How much does the film 'Tikdam' mean to you? Answer- Being associated with such a film is very important. The film also discusses issues like global warming along with drama. The life of migrant laborers is also shown in the film from a very beautiful angle. Overall this is a family entertainer. The audience will get to see my new character in this film. I have been waiting for the release of this film for a long time because it is a completely different kind of film. I also wanted to do this type of character. Question- Was it a bit challenging to work in this film? Answer: Yes, it has been to some extent. It is the actor's duty to present exactly what is written in the script on the screen. I try to act in such a way that it looks natural on screen, but for that I have to work with full dedication. This principle applies to every type of character. We have shot this film in a village near Nainital. We all stayed here for 30-40 days. All lived and ate together. In a way we also belonged to the same village. There we faced a new world and it was a very pleasant one. It was a wonderful experience. Question- How difficult was it to shoot with children in the film? Ans- I have shot many commercials with children earlier. When I did the first ad, I realized that we had to work with children in mind. In our opinion, children cannot act. They have their own tantrums. When the director of the film, Vivek, sent a small sample of the film, I made up my mind to do the film. He sent a sample in animated form, which dazzled my eyes. Anyway, wanted to do something different with the intense look. When I reached the set on the first day, the director worked very hard with the children. Because of this I did not have to work hard. I love children though. Loves to talk, play and tease with them. I treat them like adults and not like children. They also seem to treat me like an adult, which is pretty cool. Q- How beautiful was it to shoot in the mountains? Answer: Oh, it was magical. The weather was changing every moment. Sometimes the clouds came, sometimes they went away. However, due to this, it was becoming difficult to shoot. Well, we also learned to play with the weather. Living in a city doesn't give you an idea of what it's like to live in the mountains. The metropolitan city is full of glitter. But there is peace in the mountains, which also keeps your mind fresh. Where we were shooting, there is a lack of resources compared to a metropolitan city. Maybe there will be shortage of money too. But his pain is not visible on the faces of the residents. They are happy with what they have. They easily mingled with us. He used to bring us fruits and vegetables from his farm. He also fed us his famous dishes. Q- What process did you have to go through to cast yourself in such a character? Answer: To be honest, getting the script of the film was the first process. After watching the movie, you will understand that there must be someone in their right mind who would deny it. At that time I also wanted this kind of work. The first process started with the mustache. I did a lot of research keeping in mind the character of the film. After this an image like Hitler arose in my mind. But I didn't want to have a mustache like Hitler. For this reason, I modified it a bit myself. Seeing me in this look, the director also gave me the OK. After this the director said that I should keep a smile on my face in every scene of this film. A few days later, he asked me to behave in real life too, which I found a bit childish. Then the director explained to me that people live like this where we were shooting. They also say their sad stories very politely and without any wrinkles on their faces. Question- On the first day of shooting, did you get an idea of how the journey of the film would be? Answer: Yes, you can feel it a little. Many things have changed from before. Now there are many discussions on a script, by which you can understand whether the film will work or not.
