Govinda and Sunita Ahuja got married in the year 1987. The couple has two children from this relationship. Recently, Sunita and her daughter Tina have made many revelations in an interview. Tina said that her younger brother did not want his daughter to marry Govinda. Sunita also told how much her life changed after marriage with Govinda.
Speaking to Hotterfly, Govinda's daughter Tina said, 'My mother made many changes in her life after marriage. He comes from a rich family, while at that time my father was not so strong financially and was struggling in the film industry. When my younger brother came to know about my parents' love story, he was very angry.
He asked my mom – why do you want to marry an aspiring actor? He was not at all happy with this marriage and did not even attend the wedding. But my little girl liked dad very much. He always said what a handsome boy he was and how much he cared for their daughter (Sunita).
In the same interview, Sunita said, 'Before marriage, I used to live in a small family. But when I married Govinda I had to live with a big family. I was only 18 when I married him. I was 19 when Tina was born, so I was still a child.'
If Sunita is to be believed, she loves Govinda very much. Govinda had told her before the marriage that as long as she lived, her mother would be the head of the house and Sunita would have to obey her every word.
How was Sunita-Govinda's love story? Sunita was the sister-in-law of Govinda's uncle Anand Singh. After few meetings both fell in love with each other. One day while returning from a party, Govinda's hand accidentally touched Sunita's hand but both did not remove their hands and thus both agreed to love each other. After being in a relationship for a few days, Govinda and Sunita got married on December 11, 1987.
