Stealing my story became a 'fun' film – Lilliput: The film was written with the name 'Shahadat', I am fond of narrating what I wrote, so I reached out to the story makers.

MM Farooqui aka Lilliput recently shared some interesting anecdotes about Aamir Khan's film 'Fnaa'. He said that in the year 1988 he wrote a film, which was called 'Shahadat' thought. The actor said that we were making the film when we came to know that Aamir Khan's film called 'Fnaa' has come out and its story is very similar to my script.

I wrote the script of 'Fana' called 'Shahadat' – Lilliput The Llantop During a conversation with Lilliput, a question was asked if he regretted not being able to make a film on his written story Shahadat. To which the actor replied – I thought of that story in the year 1988, for the first time I thought of a line, which I narrated to Sharadji. At that time I was interested in becoming a director. I went to Russia for the shooting of 'Shikari'. There I got 15 days and during that time I wrote the screenplay of 'Shahadat'.

Wife's jewelry sold to meet expenses – Lilliput Lilliput continued – When I came back from Russia, I started writing the dialogues of the film. After writing the dialogues, I narrated it to Atmaji, upon which he said to send it to NFDC. I then made a complete copy of it and sold my wife's jewelery to meet the expenses. Copy submitted to NFDC. But from there it all came back, after which I also gave up hope.

'Tried many times to make Shahadat film' Lilliput said that he tried many times to make a film based on his story Shahadat but it never got made. When it was time to make the film, we came to know that Aamir Khan's film 'Fnaa' had been released, the story of which is similar to Shahadat.

He said, 'I met a friend of mine after a long time. He said that we will make a film. He loved being a hero. We also told Naseeruddin Shah only the title of the film and he also agreed to act in this film. After which the auspicious moment happened. But for some reason the shooting of the film was stopped.

The film 'Fana' was similar to the story written by me Lilliput said- I went for shooting. Where I narrated the story again to a producer and he agreed to make the film. I reworked the script a bit, made some trims and finalized the script. Once again we were about to arrive at the auspicious moment of the film. But then the producer called and asked me to watch Aamir's film 'Fnaa' which has been released. I saw 'Fana', it was similar to my script.

From the beginning I love to recite what I wrote – Lilliput MM Farooqui said that from the beginning he was in the habit of narrating his writings to everyone. Due to which it is possible that his story has reached the makers of the film 'Fana'. Then nothing could be done.

Karan Johar made his debut with Lilliput written show Lilliput aka M.M. Farooqui has written several stories, one of which was telecast on Doordarshan in the year 1989. This was a children's show called Indradhanush. Filmmaker Karan Johar also made his acting debut as a child actor in the show.
