'Singham changed the image of the police on screen': Ajay Devgan said – now every second person is walking around as a critic; Said about the award show – no interest in all this anymore

'Singham Again' is making huge money at the box office these days. The film is getting good response from the audience. Ajay Devgn, who is basking in the success of 'Singham Again', has given an exclusive interview to 'Frontpage Insights'.

Ajay Devgan said that the characters of police officers in earlier films were mostly portrayed negatively. People got to see a different character through 'Singham'. Perhaps this is the reason why the audience likes this role so much.

Read the highlights of the conversation with Ajay Devgan.

Question- Why do viewers like Singham's character so much? Answer- Most of the earlier films portrayed the police as negative and corrupt. People saw an honest and principled police officer through Singham. I think that's why people love the character of 'Singham' so much.

Question- The story of the film is inspired by 'Ramayana', did you feel both fear and challenge while doing it? Answer- There was no fear because we were not showing the complete story of Ramayana. We just showed a similar story. I never said that Singham, Ram or Ranveer Singh became Hanuman. However, many people told me that they got a lot of information about Ramayana after watching this movie.

Question- What do you want to say about Arjun Kapoor's role? Answer: When we cast Arjun, people were a little confused. However, he did a wonderful job. He has breathed life into his character. When a person works hard, he definitely gets results sooner or later.

Question- When you did your first film 'Singham' in 2011, did you think that it would later become a complete cop universe? Answer: Not thought at all. Well, during the shooting of a film one never knows what is going to happen next. Gradually, when viewers start liking it, episodes start being added. Any actor or director makes films thinking that he has to create a franchise in the future. It just happens with time.

Q- Which genre of films do you like doing the most? Answer- An actor should love his work, not the style. I don't want to do films of the same genre continuously. I want to make changes from time to time. If I do a comedy film, I will try that my next film is not of the comedy genre.

Q- You started your career as an action hero, what is the difference between action then and today? Answer: There has been a lot of difference. Taking action today is easier than ever. Obviously, technology has improved a lot. Earlier artists had to do many jobs themselves. There were also many risk factors.

Question- What do you have to say about film critics, how do you see them? Answer- In earlier times, the number of film critics was very few. Today anyone who has a phone goes around as a film reviewer. They may also have some agenda. If you pay more attention to these things, your own brain will get damaged. Anyway, I guess we can't keep everyone happy in this world.

Q- You have received four national awards, you have also been honored with the Padma Shri. However, why don't you show up at a film award show? Answer- There have been so many award shows, I don't know which one is genuine. This looks more like a TV show. An actor who is present is given an award, an actor who is not is not. That's why I don't take this award show seriously.

Question- Who is your favorite co-actor among Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar? Answer: I have worked with all three. All three were fun to work with. I share a great bond with all three. These three are my friends.
