Rajesh Khanna and Shabana Azmi's film 'Avatar' released in 1983 is considered to be Rajesh Khanna's comeback. Recently, Shabana Azmi shared an incident during the shooting of the film's song 'Chalo Bulava Aya Hai'. He said that at that time there were long queues and there were no toilet facilities on the way.
Shabana Azmi said in a conversation with Radio Nasha, 'It was very difficult to shoot in the Vaishno Devi temple at that time. There was no helicopter facility then. One had to climb on foot to reach the temple. A lot of difficulty was faced as there were no toilet facilities on the way.
Shabana said, 'Can you imagine superstar Rajesh Khanna standing in a queue with a box of Dalda? Not only that, it was also very cold at that time. All slept on the floor in the hostels. We had mattresses. But about 12 layers of blankets were placed on them. We cover ourselves with six layers. Even after this there was a feeling of cold. At that time we were all like a team. No one had this idea that because we were superstars, they wouldn't adjust.
Shabana Azmi said, 'Rajesh and I were good friends. Once we were talking to the media. He came in and we saw that his feet were bandaged and he was limping. A journalist saw this and asked what happened to his leg. So he immediately replied, Yesterday I was riding a horse, and fell from the horse. At that time I was surprised and thought that I am with him, when did he shoot the horse riding?
Shabana further said, 'Rajesh kicked my leg from under the table and signaled me to shut up. Later he said I fell, and why do you always tell the truth? Naturally, I will not tell the reporter that my foot got caught in the dhoti, so I fell. Let me live my moment. what do you mind I laughed a lot hearing this.
