The movie 'Hum Saath Saath Hai' was released in 1999. Every character and their pairing in this film was loved. Mahesh Thakur, who played the role of Vivek Babu in the film, narrated an incident related to Neelam Kothari. The actor said that there was an accident during the shooting of the film, due to which Neelam became angry with him. After that accident, Salman Khan kept teasing Neelam.
Mahesh Thakur told Radio Nasha, 'We were shooting for the song 'ABCD'. I was having some trouble with the dance steps during the song. We had to move our bodies and the bus was moving as it moved along the road. So I missed my step and fell on Neelam Ji. Because of this she got a little angry with me and said, 'What are you doing?' After this Salman, Saif and Tabu started making fun of him.
Mahesh said, 'There was constant banter on the sets after this, which made everyone's mood very light and good. Neelamji also ignored this again. Then we all became good friends. We all had a very good rapport.
Karishma Kapoor also shared memories of the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hai' in the dance reality show 'India Best Dancer-3'. The actress told how she and Tabu would often persuade Sonali Bendre to drop her book and join in the conversation, as Sonali often read her book silently during the shoot.
Karisma Kapoor said, 'We all miss the days of the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hai' very much. There are many fond memories associated with this film. Sonali was very quiet and I spoke more on the sets. Sonali would get lost in her book, while Tabu and I would often wonder 'what is she reading?' Why doesn't she talk to us? Tabu and I used to talk about shooting movies and songs, while Sonali was quietly reading her book. When we'd both invite her over for dinner, she'd say I'm a vegetarian, so I only eat salad,' and I'd say okay, but come with a salad!'
