Honey Singh lent his voice to the lungi dance song in the film 'Chennai Express' starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. After the song gained popularity, Shah Rukh took Honey Singh with him to a show in Chicago, but the singer did not perform at the show. Sometime later there were reports that Shah Rukh Khan had slapped singer and rapper Honey Singh after an altercation. Now after years, Honey Singh has declared the complete truth of this matter in his documentary.
Honey Singh's documentary Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous has released on Netflix on December 20. In this documentary, Honey Singh has told the reason behind his fight with Shah Rukh, that someone spread a rumor that Shah Rukh Khan slapped Honey Singh. Singer further said, “When he took me to the show in Chicago, I didn't want to do the show. I thought I was going to die on the show. I wasn't getting ready. Shah Rukh said, prepare me, my management team has arrived. Someone was with me, he said get ready, I said, I am not going, I went to the washroom, I took out the trimmer and cut my hair. How will I perform now? He asked me to wear a hat. I said no one is listening to me. I don't want to know. I sat on the chair angrily. I didn't want to perform. I had a coffee mug lying next to me, I picked it up and hit it on my head.
