Sexual harassment allegations against Malayalam director Tulsidas: Actresses Geeta Vijayan and Sridevika say, 'Director used to knock on hotel room door late every night'

Ever since the Hema Committee report came out, many well-known actresses associated with the Malayalam film industry have been speaking openly about the cases of sexual harassment they have faced. Exploited in 1991 Actress Geeta said that the director exploited her during the shooting of the film in 1991. According to the actress, the director used to knock on her hotel door frequently. When Geeta protested against him, the director refused to explain the scene to her on the set of the film in retaliation. Actress Sridevika has also accused director Tulsidas of knocking the door of the hotel late at night, just as Sridevika had made a similar allegation. She said that Tulsidas harassed her a lot during the shooting of the film which released in 2006. Every late night he would knock on the door of the hotel reception asking for his room number. The actress complained to AMMA that when Sridevika's mother told the actor about this, he changed his room. After this, the director angrily cut the actress' scenes and dialogues from the film. Sridevika later complained about this to AMMA but no action was taken against the director. The director said – the atmosphere on the set was happy. Denying these allegations, Tulsidas said in an interview, 'Nothing like this happened during the shooting of the film. Everyone was in a happy mood. I know very well why she is accusing me like that. Actress Meenu also accused four co-stars On Monday, actor Meenu Munir also accused actors like Mukesh, Manianpilla Raju, Idwela Babu and Jayasuriya of sexual harassment. Referring to this 2013 case, he also claimed the involvement of some production controllers.
