On October 12, NCP Ajit faction leader Baba Siddiqui was assassinated in Mumbai. Gangster Lawrence and his gang claimed responsibility for the murder.
Baba Siddiqui was also a very close friend of Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Since her death, Salman has been in constant touch with her family. He also calls Baba's son Zeeshan every night and inquires about the family.

Salman says- He can't sleep properly Baba Siddiqui's son Zeeshan said- 'Salman bhai is very sad because of my father's murder. He often misses them and asks how my family is doing. 16 days have passed since the incident and Salman talks to us every day. He calls late at night and says that he too can't sleep well.
He supported me a lot after my father's death Zeeshan continued – 'Salman bhai and papa were close to each other like cousins. After father's death, brother has supported us a lot. His support has always been and will continue to be.
Still receiving threats NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui's MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui and Salman Khan are still receiving death threats. A threatening phone call was received on Friday evening. The threatening call was received from Zeeshan's Bandra East-based public relations office. Both Zeeshan and Salman Khan were threatened and demanded money.
In this case, the police arrested a person named Mohammad Taiyab alias Gurfan from Noida. RP is a resident of Delhi. He was arrested from Sector 39 Police Station area and Mumbai Police has taken him on transit remand.
The Lawrence gang claimed responsibility for the murder Baba Siddiqui was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan's office on the night of August 12. So far 9 accused have been arrested in this case. 3 accused are absconding. The Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating the case.
Gangster Lawrence, who was already behind Salman near Baba, took responsibility for the murder. He wants Salman to apologize to the Bishnoi community in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
Baba Siddiqui and Salman had a very close friendship. Salman used to go to Baba's Iftar party every year.
After Baba's demise, Salman went to his house amid tight security.
Salman is hosting 'Bigg Boss 18' After Baba's murder, Salman's security has been tightened. The actor is currently hosting the reality show 'Bigg Boss 18'. In an earlier episode of Weekend Ka Vaar too, Salman shared his feelings through gestures.
The actor said that he did not want to come to the sets of the show but had to come there due to professional commitments.
