The Mumbai Police Crime Branch, which is probing the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan, said on Monday that the arrested accused was a wrestling player in Bangladesh. Police arrested Shariful Islam in this case on Sunday.
After interrogation, the crime branch said that Shariful had participated in district and national level wrestling competitions. Being a wrestler, Shariful Saif fell in love with him. After the incident, he slept at the bus stand. He changed his clothes before going to Thane. He was working in a pub in Worli, from where he was fired for stealing.
