Choreographer Remo D'Souza's wife Liesel has rubbished reports of receiving death threats. It says it was spam mail, no threat. Police are also investigating spam mail.
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Liesel said – This is false information, there is nothing like that. We have also read it (in the media). We received a spam e-mail on the company e-mail id, about which we informed the police. Cyber cell is checking it and they also think it is spam.
Liesel continued – There is nothing to worry about. If there is anything, the police will investigate it. I don't know why this has been combined with death threats. It is possible that the media has misrepresented it. It's also possible that it was for someone else and they associated things with other people.
A threatening e-mail came from Pakistan Two days ago there was news that actor Rajpal Yadav, choreographer Remo D'Souza and comedian Sugandha Mishra have received death threats through e-mails from Pakistan. Apart from these people, comedian Kapil Sharma was also threatened.
According to reports, the e-mail said that we are monitoring your movements. We have brought a sensitive matter to your attention. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to harass you. We request you to take this very seriously and maintain confidentiality.
At the end of the e-mail from Pakistan, it is written – if not done, your professional and personal life may be affected. We would like a response to this email within the next 8 hours. If you don't do this, we'll assume you're not taking it seriously. We will take action against you. We are not Bishnois.
