Recently, in an interview with casting director Mukesh Chhabra for Mashable India, director Vikramaditya Motwani talked about the hurdles he faced while shooting. He said that the set built in Dalhousie was destroyed due to snowfall. After this, when they changed the set and started shooting again, the shoot had to be stopped again due to Ranveer fainting.
We shot for two days in Dalhousie and Ranveer Singh injured his back, Vikramaditya said. He was hurt, but said he was fine. The next day we were shooting the sequence where he is removing the bullet from his stomach. There is a scene inside the doctor's office where he is shot in the stomach, which he deflects.
She further said that Ranveer Singh was completely obsessed with her. He thought he had to take the pill, it must hurt. What should I put on to feel the pain? I said, dude, you should act, then he said no, you have to put something on. So he put big clips of big black color. He used to go up and down the mountain, so that he could feel the pain. He came and sweated profusely.
He came in and we shot the whole scene. When he finally took those clips off, she was in absolute pain right there. He didn't even realize that his back was hurting. He fainted and was taken out. The next day he was airlifted out of Dalhousie in a helicopter, causing the schedule to be cancelled.
