A question was raised in everyone's mind that what kind of enmity could Mona Rae, a housewife and modest model, have with someone that she was attacked in this barbaric way? Mona was hit by bullets in her lower body in the attack, which damaged her kidney. Not getting proper treatment at a private hospital, he was referred to IGIMS (Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences), where he underwent surgery.
As soon as Mona regained consciousness, the Patna police started questioning her. However, Mona only kept saying in a low and pained tone that she had no enmity with anyone nor did she suspect anyone.
There was a crowd of people to meet Mona Rai along with the police at the hospital. Meanwhile, the police come across a man who is eager to meet Mona, although Mona's family is not too happy to see him. On questioning by the police, the man's name was revealed to be Raju, a famous builder in the city. Raju and Mona had an immoral relationship for a long time.
Builder Raju's presence at the hospital proved to be an important link in the case for the police. The day after the attack, the police interrogated Raju and it was revealed that he was in a relationship with Mona for the past 9 years. Both used to meet frequently and their families were also aware of this. The relationship troubled everyone, but the two stayed together despite constant rifts with the family.
Raju Bilder confessed to his relationship with Mona, but his links did not seem to be linked to the murder. Police also raided Raju Builder's rented flat at Chandrakutir Apartments in Rajiv Nagar, where he used to spend time with Mona. No clues to the murder were found in the house, but the police found bottles of alcohol and a manhunt. In fact, liquor is banned in Bihar, so the police registered a case against Raju Builder and arrested him for buying and consuming illegal liquor.
On the other hand, Mona's condition was deteriorating. Mona was interrogated daily, but the result remained zero. Mona also confessed to having an affair with Raju the builder, but she did not suspect Raju. On the morning of October 17, it was only 5 days since Mona's life-and-death struggle. The bullets had pierced his kidney, causing the kidney and then other organs to gradually stop working. The assault case had now turned into a murder case.

Mona Rai alias Anita Devi was a housewife living in Patna, Bihar. She is married to Suman Kumar, who runs a photocopying shop, and has two children, Aarohi and Imrak.
Around the year 2012, Mona Rai met her neighbor Amir Raju, a builder living in Phulwari Sharif. Raju was married and had a son. Meetings between the two increased and over time their immoral relationship blossomed.
Mona's lifestyle begins to change after meeting builder Raju. After meeting the middle-class Mona Raju, she became spendthrift, enrolled her children in expensive schools and started modeling herself. In the year 2020, Mona also participated in the Mrs. Bihar pageant and was a top-3 finalist. After this she started getting many modeling projects. After joining the modeling world, she changed her name from Anita Devi to Mona Rai.
Mona also participated in Miss Global Bihar, in which she got the tag of Best Eye.
The escalating encounters between Mona and Raju were not hidden from their families for long. Both their families objected to their immoral relationship. This was the reason Mona's husband Suman shifted with his family from Phulwari Sharif to Basant Vihar in Rajiv Nagar, where Mona was murdered.
The way the carnage was carried out made it clear that the shooters who fired the bullets were professionals who were given betel nuts, but the question was who could have given betel nuts to a normal model. Did Raju Bilder give betel nut to someone to get rid of Mona? Did husband Suman get Mona killed because of his affair? That the shooter came to shoot someone else, but mistakenly shot Mona?
To get answers to these questions, Patna police took strict action against Mona's boyfriend Raju Bilder. It has also come to light that 4 months ago, Raju bought a plot in Phulwari Sharif area in Mona's name. Despite trying every trick, when no real answer could be elicited from Raju, the police started investigating Raju's family. After a week of trying, Raju is seen hooking up with Bhim Yadav, a shooter from the builder's family. To establish this connection, the police took the help of technical surveillance, including CCTV footage near the crime scene and mobile tower networks.
A few weeks before the attack on Mona Rai, Bhim Yadav's mobile number was active in the same area. Finally, on October 25, the police arrested Bhim Yadav from Bhojpur. Bhim Yadav maintained his innocence during the initial interrogation, but broke down after the crackdown.

Bhim Yadav confessed in his statement to the police that he was framed for Mona Rai's murder. He along with his associates Shankar Kumar and Vishwakarma collected Rs. 5 lakh had taken betel nut, he was given Rs. 2.25 lakhs was received as advance. He had been living in a rented house in Rajiv Nagar for the past one month and had been keeping an eye on Mona since he rode around on an Apache bike. On October 12, both of them killed as soon as they got the chance. Shankar was riding a bike, when a man named Vishwakarma shot at Mona.
When Bhima was asked who the betel giver was, everyone was surprised to hear Bhima's statement. Actually, the plot to kill Mona Rai was not hatched by Raju Bilder, but by his wife Sarada Devi. A woman who appeared to be a housewife was the mastermind of this massacre.
After the confession of the shooter Bhim Yadav, the Patna police announced to solve the murder case through a press conference. Police revealed that Raju Bilder was in a relationship with Mona Rai for the past 9 years. His family was also aware of this, due to which there were daily fights in their house.
Raju the builder's minor son was also upset with his father's affair. A few months ago, when Raju bought a plot for Mona for Rs 25 lakh, his wife Sarada and son also came to know about it. They were afraid that Raju would gradually do everything in Mona's name and they would get nothing. Sarada Devi had plotted the murder to remove Mona from Raju's life.
To get Mona out of her way, Sharda Devi enlists the help of her nephew Rahul and offers him Rs. 5 lakhs gave a betel nut to a professional shooter. 3 lakh rupees was given as advance while 2 lakh rupees was to be paid after completion of the work. Three months passed, but Rahul could not work.
When Sarada gets angry and starts pressuring him, Rahul arranges her to meet Sudesh, a resident of Arah. He seemed to be a distant relative of Sarada. Sarada gives the money given to Rahul to Sudesh. It was Sudesh who gave the betel nut to one of his relatives, Shankar, who was the shooter. As soon as Shankar took the advance, he included his cousin Bhola and distant relative Vishwakarma in the plan.
The minor son of Raju Builder was also involved in this plan. He told the shooters the address of Mona's house and showed her face. A month ago, Shankar, Bheem and Vishwakarma had rented a house in Rajiv Nagar to practice Reiki. The month was about to end, but the three were not completing the work, so Sarada threatened them that the advance amount would have to be returned if the work was not done soon.
On October 12, Shankar went to Arah for some work. Meanwhile, Sarada informs him that Mona is going to the temple on Navratri. As soon as he got the lead, he put his colleagues to work. The two shooters were lying in wait outside the house, when Mona returned from the temple with her daughter. Both of them fired at him as soon as they got the chance.
After Bhima's arrest, Vishwakarma, the shooter who fired at Mona, surrendered, while the 5 accused named in the case are still at large. Patna police raided several places to find everyone, but no arrests were made.
Even after 3 years, Patna Police is still looking for the mastermind We contacted the Patna Police in this matter. The constable present at the police station, without disclosing the name, only gave this information that the mastermind Sarada Devi has not been arrested in the Mona Rai murder case yet.
