July 11, 2021
It was afternoon. Lahore Police received a call from a person. He identified himself as Mohammad Naseer and said he had reached home to meet his sister Nayab Nadeem. He did not open the door for long, finding the circumstances suspicious, he entered from another way and found his sister's body lying on the ground. There were no clothes on his body.
Lahore Police reached Phase-5 of DHA (Defence Housing Authority) as soon as they received information about the incident. The sight was really scary. The house was in complete disarray and the body was found naked. The girl had no clothes on her body.
Nasir, who informed the police during preliminary interrogation, said that the 29-year-old deceased Nayab Nadeem was his half-sister. She lived alone in a Defense Housing Authority house and was modeling and acting.
Model Nayab Nadeem
Who was Nayab Nadeem? Nayab Nadeem was born in 1992 in Pakistan. Ever since childhood, Nayab, who was very good looking, had a keen interest in the world of entertainment.
More information about Nayab's family is not available. However, some reports state that his father remarried, from whom he also had two half-brothers, Nasir and Ahmed.
Nayab Nadeem entered the world of modeling immediately after his initial studies. However, modeling was a rude profession for her conservative family. This was the reason why Nayab's family was strongly opposed to his business. The family wanted Nayab to get married and settle down, but the independent-minded Nayab wanted to become self-sufficient by achieving success in the world of modeling and acting.
When the rift between Nayab and her family started increasing day by day, one day Nayab left her father's house and bought a house in DHA (Defence Housing Authority), Phase-5 of Lahore and started living alone.
She rarely met her family on special occasions. His family members also used to visit him sometimes for festivals or other functions. His half-brother also used to come to his house to seek help from time to time.
Bhai had gone to Dubai, when he came back Nayab called him home to meet him Naseer, who informed the police about Nayab's murder, told the police during interrogation that he used to visit his half-sister's house frequently. He went to Dubai with his family a few days ago, when he came back he contacted Nayab. Nayab called him on July 11, 2021 in the afternoon.
Seeing Nayab's car parked outside the house, there was a sense of unhappiness He came to meet the Nayab at the appointed time, but the Nayab did not open the door despite ringing the doorbell for a long time. He also made several calls to Nayab from outside the house, but got no response. He was thinking of going back. It was there that he noticed Nayab's car parked outside the house. Nayab usually went out in her car, so this situation made her suspicious. Finding the situation suspicious, Nasir broke the door and entered and was shocked to see the scene. His sister was lying on the ground without even a piece of clothing on her body. He immediately covered the body and went closer to investigate and found that Nayab had stopped breathing.
Nayab's house is located in Phase-5 of DHA (Defence Housing Authority), Lahore.
During the investigation, the bathroom window was found broken During the investigation, the police found that the bathroom window of Nayab's house was broken. From this, the police deduced that the robbers might have entered Nayab's house, but when he protested, the robbers might have killed and raped him. A knife and drugs were also recovered from Nayab's house. Near where Nayab's body was found, his dupatta was also found.
The police sent Nayab's body for post-mortem and a forensic team thoroughly scanned the entire house. Naib's body was handed over to his father and half-brothers after post-mortem.
Two such murders took place in the same area A few weeks ago, a British-Pakistani Mahira was murdered in Defense Housing Authority Phase-5 where Nayab Nadeem lived. A 25-year-old woman also lived alone in that area. The two murders had many similarities. In the Mahira murder case too, the police were left empty-handed, so the police went ahead with the investigation, believing that it might be a case of serial killing, in which the robbers were targeting and killing women who lived alone.
An unknown person was seen in the CCTV camera reeking of the house The footage of the CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity is also being scanned. CCTV footage has revealed that a person is being seen around Nayab's house frequently. However, the person's face could not be seen clearly due to the poor quality of the camera.

The serial killing investigation was just a few days away and the police reached a dead end, as the Mahira murder case was solved. Two of Mahira's friends took responsibility for her murder. However, when he was questioned about Nayab Nadeem's murder, he categorically denied having anything to do with it.
Meanwhile, Nayab's post-mortem report also left the police worried. He died due to strangulation and had a long fight with his killer before his death.
The most shocking thing in the postmortem report was that Nayab Nadeem was not physically abused. Now the biggest question was why her clothes were taken off if there was no rape.
After coming up empty handed in the last two angles, the police started investigating Nayab Nadeem's family and personal life. Interrogating some people connected with him revealed that Nayab Nadeem used to have frequent quarrels with his half-brothers. When the two brothers were interrogated, they categorically denied the quarrel.
When mobile records were examined, it was revealed that Nayab had not spoken to anyone before his death, while on the other hand, his brother's location was around Nayab's house for several hours before the police were informed.
Police remanded Nayab's half-brother Nasir on suspicion. He continued to mislead the police for several hours, but Nasir finally broke down after a tough encounter.
In his confessional statement to the police, he had objected to Nayab Nadeem modeling and acting. He tried to convince her several times, but she was not ready to give up her business. Nasir said that Nayab was having affairs with many different people, due to which his family was being tarnished. Fearing disgrace in the society, Nasir hatched a conspiracy to kill Nayab.

How did the step brother kill? After returning from Dubai, Nasir contacted his step-sister Nayab and asked her to come to his house under some pretext. When Naseer reached home in the afternoon, he again started an argument by raising the issue of Nayab's immoral relations. However, he reached his house only after plotting the murder. He mixed drugs in Nayab's food, after consuming which she fell unconscious. Nasir strangled her with his own dupatta.
Nasir removed all the clothes from his own sister's body to make the murder look like robbery and rape. After some time he locked the house from inside and came out by breaking the bathroom window and then informed the police.
While briefing PTI about the solution to Nayab Nadeem's blind murder case, Punjab Police spokesperson Rana Arif also said that the killer Nasir also wanted to occupy Nayab's house.
Pakistan has the worst situation in terms of honor killing 5 thousand honor killings occur worldwide every year. About 20% of these cases occur in India. The neighboring country Pakistan has the worst track record in terms of honor killings. According to data from the Pakistan Human Rights Commission, more than 450 such incidents were reported in 2021 alone.
Between 2004 and 2016, there were 15,222 murders in Pakistan. That is 1170 murders per year and 22 murders per week. This figure is the highest in the world. Many efforts have been made to stop it, but all these efforts have so far proved insufficient.
The law has become stricter after the murder of Pakistani model Qandeel Baloch In the year 2016, the brother of Pakistan's famous model and influencer Qandeel Baloch killed her in the name of honor killing. The debate over Qandeel Baloch's killing raised questions about the safety of women in Pakistan across the world, which led to a strict law in 2016 to prevent honor killings. The law also provided for the death penalty for those found guilty of honor killings, but the law was weakened after several amendments under pressure from fundamentalists.
