Nagarjuna files defamation case against Telangana minister: Konda Surekha says, 'Blackmailing was the reason for divorce of actor's son and daughter-in-law Naga Samantha'

South actor Nagarjuna has filed a defamation case against Telangana minister Konda Surekha on Thursday, October 3. Surekha made a statement on the divorce of Nagarjuna's son Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. When the media asked Nagarjuna if he was considering legal action, he said, 100%. We cannot let this go.'

However, Minister Konda Surekha apologized to Samantha today after the controversy flared up. He wrote on social media, 'I made a comment questioning a leader who insults women. Samantha, this statement was not intended to hurt your feelings.

Konda Surekha in her statement against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader KT Rama Rao said-

KTR has a habit of exploiting heroines. He threw rave parties with several actresses, got them addicted to drugs and then blackmailed them. This is the reason for Naga and Samantha's divorce. He tapped the phones of both. Due to this, many heroines get married early and leave the cinema field.

The video of Konda Surekha's controversial statement also went viral.

Samantha On October 2 said – Do not mention my name in your political disputes.

Being a woman comes out and works. Surviving in an industry where women are mostly used as props. Falling in love, falling, standing and fighting… all these require a lot of courage. Konda Surekha I am proud of my journey. Please don't spoil it. Hope you realize that as a minister your words matter. I urge you to respect the privacy of others. My divorce is my personal matter and don't speculate about it, Konda Surekha. We kept it private, but that doesn't mean false statements should be made. My divorce is by mutual consent. Keep your politics out of my name.

A day after Surekha's statement, Samantha reacted to it on social media.

Naga Chaitanya said- Divorce is the most painful decision

Deciding to divorce is one of the most painful and unfortunate decisions in anyone's life. After much deliberation, my ex-partner and I have decided to separate. So far many baseless things have been said in this matter. This statement of Minister Surekha is very absurd and unacceptable.

Samantha's ex-husband Naga Chaitanya also shared the post and termed the minister's statement as baseless and absurd.

Nagarjuna asked Surekhan to retract his statement Naga Chaitanya's father Nagarjuna also gave his reaction in this matter. He has instructed Surekha to retract her statement on social media and has also called her allegations false.

South superstar Nagarjuna also reacted to this matter.

Superstar Nani also slammed Samantha for dragging her personal life into politics.

'RRR' fame actor Jr NTR has also termed Surekha's statement as baseless. He said that she is dragging other's personal life for her own benefit. Allu Arjun tweeted that such statements about film personalities and families will not be tolerated. This is a very irresponsible act. South superstar Nani has also tweeted in this matter.

Both met for the first time in 2010 Samantha and Naga Chaitanya fell in love on the sets of the 2010 film Yeh Maya Chesave. The couple dated each other for about three years before getting married. Then on 6 October 2017, both of them got married. They were married according to both Hindu and Christian customs. After 4 years of marriage, in 2021, the duo announced their separation through a post on social media.

Sharing the post on social media, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya wrote, 'We would like to tell all our well-wishers that after much deliberation, we have decided to separate as husband and wife to move forward on our respective paths. We are fortunate that our friendship of more than a decade has been an important part of our relationship and we are confident that we will always have a special bond.
