Movie Review- Tanglan: The entire film rests on Chiyan Vikram's shoulders; rich in scenery, thrilling first half; Some drawbacks in Hindi dubbing

After Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, South cinema star Chiyan Vikram's film 'Thangalan' has released in Hindi today. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film stars Chiyan Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Daniel Kaltgiron and Pashupathi in lead roles. The duration of this film is 2 hours 30 minutes. Frontpage Insights has given the film a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. What is the story of the film? The story of the film is set in the 1850s of the tribals of Vepur village in North Arcot. A British officer invites the tribesmen to search for gold in the Kolar gold fields. The British officer promises the tribal chief Tanglan (Chyan Vikram) that if he helps them find gold, he too will get a share in it. Tangalan along with his wife (Parvathy Thiruvothu) child and a whole group of tribals sets out to search for gold in the Kolar gold fields. During this time he encounters some supernatural mysterious powers. Does he succeed in finding gold with his group? What other problems arise during this period? You have to watch the movie to know this. How is the acting of the star cast? The entire story of the film revolves around Chiyan Vikram's character Tanglan. The story of the entire film rests on his shoulders. He has left a distinct impression with his role. Parvathy Thiruvothu's performance as Tangalan's wife Gangamma is also impressive and memorable. Daniel Caltagirone, Arjun Ambudan and Pashupati in the roles of British officers have tried to do full justice to their respective roles. Malvika Mohanan emerges as a strong, ethereal mysterious force in the role of Aarti. How is the direction of the film? Director Ranjith is known for hits like 'Sarpatta Parambara', 'Kabali' and 'Kaala'. Talking about the film Tanglan, there are many moments in the first half which are thrilling. The second half is a bit weak in comparison. Technically the film is strong. One of the biggest flaws in some south Hindi dubbed films is that there is no proper harmony between the dialogue and its emotion. The same was seen in this film. That feeling is not visible in emotional scenes. In between, the story loses its grip. The script needed a bit more attention to improve the scene. Malvika Mohanan's character is a surprise package in the film. But Malvika Mohanan and her tribal character could have been presented better. How is the music of the film? The music should be worked on keeping the Hindi belt audience in mind. There is no song in this film that the audience can hum. The background score of the film is effective. Final verdict, watch the movie or not? This movie takes you to a different world of adventure. The film is visually very well made. Hindi dubbing definitely has some drawbacks. However, this movie can definitely be watched once.
