Shilpa Shetty got married to Raj Kundra in 2009. Talking about marriage, the actress said in an old interview that she started working at the age of 17 and got married at the age of 32.
'He has no regrets about getting married in the middle of a successful career'
The actress said that at that time she was ready to get married and become a mother. Shilpa also said that she has no regrets about getting married in the midst of a successful career. But along with marriage, the actress also wanted to create her own identity. But very few people know that Raj Kundra gave an ultimatum to the actress during the shooting of the film 'The Man' with Sunny Deol.
Shilpa said that Raj Kundra told her to either marry him or end the relationship. Shilpa rejected Sunny Deol's film 'The Man' for Raj Kundra. Shilpa later called it the best decision of her life, as Sunny Deol had decided to stop the film at that time.
To this, Shilpa joked that if she had chosen the film instead of Raj Kundra at that time, she would be sitting in the parlor coloring her gray hair right now.
Shilpa said that on many occasions one has to take a decision at the right time, which she also did. Shilpa also said that at that time she got an offer to work in the British TV series 'EastEnders', she also got an offer to settle in London, but she chose to start her life by marrying Raj Kundra.
Shilpa said that being in a live-in relationship with Raj, she has no objection to having children out of wedlock. But to honor her mother, she married Raj in traditional style and settled the house.
