Manoj Muntshir on 'Emergency' ban: Says 'Take Kangana to court, law will decide but wasn't Indira's killer Sikh?'

The release of the film 'Emergency' was banned. Meanwhile, the film's lyricist Manoj Muntshir has come out in support of Kangana. He appealed to the people of the Sikh community to stop the protest. Manoj says that the film is made not only by Kangana but by a crew of 500, who should not be treated unfairly. What did Manoj Muntshir say? Manoj Muntshir has posted a video from the official Instagram account. In the video, the author has said that, 'Emergency will not be released on September 6, because the film has not received the censor certificate. But why is the game of this certificate being played incompletely, it should be played completely? At the same time another certificate should be taken away from us that we are a people who respect freedom of expression. Drop this pretense of greatness. If you can't tolerate a film, how can you tolerate freedom of expression? Manoj Muntshir further said that, “What is the problem in emergency?” The problem is that the film shows the brutal assassination of Indira Gandhi. So did Indiraji die in a road accident? Aren't they killed? The problem is that his killer is shown to be a Sikh, so weren't Satwant Singh and Beant Sikhs? It is being said that the Sikh community has objections to this.' I am not ready to accept that the Sikhs who fearlessly stand by the truth saying 'Ek Omkar Satnaam' are afraid of the truth shown in the film. Sikhs are a golden page in the history of India. When he comes out with a saffron turban on his head, the whole country looks at him with respect. Because the bravery of our great Gurus is reflected in every fold of that turban. He further said that assassins like Satwant and Beant, who had taken an oath to protect, had put bullets into their bodies. How can anyone in their right mind consider Satwant Singh and Beant as their killers? Innocent Sikhs suffered the consequences of Satwant and Beant crimes in 1984. This is as black a page in India's history as the 'Emergency', but the Sikhs have never played the victim card. Not enmity with India. The list of martyrs on the borders was drawn up, even after 1984 the number of Sikhs would not be less. I can't believe that any veer caste would be scared of such a film. Manoj Muntshir's special appeal to the Sikh community Manoj further said on Kangana, whatever complaint you have against Kangana Ranaut, take it to the court, the justice system will decide it. But this film is not Kangana's alone. A team of 500 people has made this film with their sweat. Injustice should not be done in your presence. Reject the pressure being exerted in your name on the Censor Board. It is political, not moral. Some fearful people do not represent the Sikh community. Say that your truth is neither dependent on a film nor afraid of a film. After the release if you feel that the film has shown something wrong then protest it, I will also stand with you. We have always believed in your love of humanity and justice. We know that Sikhs whose voices once made Aurangzeb's eardrums burst cannot stand to drown out the voices of others.
