Producer-director Anurag Kashyap is debuting as an actor in Malayalam cinema with the film 'Rifle Club'. Recently this film has been released, in which Anurag Kashyap's look and character are being praised a lot. During an interview, Anurag said that he loves Malayalam cinema a lot. He described Malayalam cinema as better than Bollywood.
During an interview with Gulf News, Anurag Kashyap shared his experiences of working in a Malayalam film. He said- I was very excited to work in 'Rifle Club'. When director Ashiq Abu announced the film, I myself went to his Instagram page and wrote on his post, Do you want a Hindi speaking actor? That's how I became a part of this film and today I am very happy to do this film.
Anurag Kashyap compared Malayalam film industry with Bollywood and said that Malayalam film industry is better than Bollywood. Taking a dig at Bollywood, he said that there is no star system in Malayalam films. No separate vanity van for any star. Whereas in Bollywood, a star considers himself different and stands apart from the rest.
During a recent interview, Anurag Kashyap spoke about rising star fees and the culture of vanity vans in Bollywood. Anurag Kashyap said – The way the fees of stars are increasing in Bollywood, the budget of the film increases a lot. Apart from this, his worst demand is that his chef cooks. Which charges Rs 2 lakh per day for a cook. Some artists have 5 vanity vans. It has separate rooms for gymming, cooking, dining, bathing and line practice. This is madness.
