The new trailer of Kangana Ranaut's most awaited film 'Emergency', who has been busy with flop and disaster films for the past 9 years, has been released. The film is going to release in theaters from January 17. Kangana's film faced many difficulties for certification from the Censor Board. Finally, the film cleared for release after 13 scenes were cleared by the censors.

'You are not riding on a chair, you are riding on a share' If we talk about the trailer, it starts with a glimpse of Anupam Kher in the role of Jayaprakash Narayan. Anupam Kher as Jaiprakash Narayan is seen writing a letter to the then Prime Minister. At this point the dialogue is being heard that- 'Jaise ki hum sab dekh rahe hain ki ab aap ek khursi par nahi, share sawar hain, jiski dahad aur hunkar duniabhar mein gunjati hain'.

The film's release was stalled due to lack of a certificate The movie 'Emergency' was slated to release on June 14, 2024. However, it was postponed due to Lok Sabha elections. The film was scheduled to release on 6 September 2024, however, the Censor Board refused to give the film a certificate just days before the release. It is alleged that the film contains controversial scenes, which may disturb the peace.

On 30 August, Kangana said that her film 'Emergency' had passed, but the Censor Board refused to give the film a certificate due to pressure from some powerful people. Kangana reached the High Court in this matter. The film was also banned in Telangana due to some objectionable scenes from the Sikh community.

The film received the Censor Board's approval on 17 October The film's release was put on hold pending a decision on the certification issue. Several complaints were filed against Kangana across the country and the film was demanded to be banned. The Sikh community also strongly opposed Kangana and the film. Kangana Ranaut said on October 17 that the film has been passed by the Censor Board.
