Maharashtra govt to refund Rs 9 crore to Shah Rukh!: Error in calculation of ownership fee for Mannat's land cost the actor more, King Khan applied in 2022

Maharashtra government can give a refund of Rs 9 crore to Shah Rukh Khan. Shah Rukh Khan is in the news of getting a refund due to a mistake in the land ownership fee of his bungalow Mannat. The actor and his wife Gauri Khan bought this bungalow in the year 2001. Mannat was earlier known as 'Villa Vienna'.

The actor can get Rs 9 crore as refund

Shah Rukh Khan filed an application in 2022 that he had overpaid the Mumbai Suburban District Collector for the bungalow land. Due to which the news has come to the fore that after two years the Maharashtra government may approve the actor's application. If approved, Shah Rukh Khan may get around Rs 9 crore as refund.

25% of price paid for full ownership

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's bungalow is in Bandra's Mannat Band Stand. Earlier this land was owned by someone else, later he sold this land to Shah Rukh Khan. The property spread over 2 thousand 446 square meters was transferred in the name of Shahrukh and Gauri Khan through a registered agreement. After buying the land, Shah Rukh Khan and his wife decided to take advantage of the state government's policy. This policy allows conversion of leased property into full ownership. As per the state policy, both paid 25 percent of the price in March 2019, which is around Rs. 27.50 crores.

It was revealed that more money was paid in the year 2022

In September 2022, Shah Rukh Khan learned that the state government had made a mistake while calculating the conversion fee. In the process of calculating the conversion fee, the value of the bungalow was considered instead of the piece of land. Due to which the actor had to pay a lot of money.

Gauri and Shahrukh demanded the excess amount as refund Gauri Khan presented to the Collector, MSD to explain the whole matter. In which the additional amount was demanded to be returned. The price of which was stated to be 9 crore rupees. According to the Free Press Journal, the collector has sent it to the state government for final approval. In response to which the state officials have said that the access payment will be returned to the actor as soon as the approval is received. Notably, according to reports, Shah Rukh Khan's Bangla Mannat is now worth around Rs 200 crore.

Shah Rukh will be seen in the film 'King' in the year 2026 Shah Rukh Khan's last films were 'Pathan' and 'Jawaan'. Both the films were released in theaters in the year 2023. Both the films did very well at the box office. Shah Rukh will be seen in the film 'King' in the year 2026. Shahrukh's daughter Suhana Khan will also be seen in this film. The film will be released on the festival of Eid.
