Kannada actor Darshan's pictures surface from crime scene: 1300-page charge sheet seeks cancellation of bail, accused of killing fan

A 1,300-page charge sheet was filed on Saturday against Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudipa, who has been in jail for four months for the murder of fan Renukaswamy. The chargesheet has included those pictures as key evidence, in which actor Darshan is seen posing with co-accused at the scene of the crime. Based on this evidence, the Bangalore police have sought cancellation of his bail, which he received in the name of surgery.

The Bangalore police filed a 1300-page chargesheet in the Renukaswamy high-profile murder case in the 57th CCH court on November 23, prepared under the supervision of ACP Chandan Kumar. In the charge sheet, the Bangalore police presented the photographs taken at the scene of Darshan's crime as important evidence. In the four pictures, Darshan is seen posing with co-accused Janadesh and Anukumar. There is also a jeep in the background of the pictures, which was used during the murder. Also, the same jeep was also seen in the CCTV footage around the crime scene.

Granted bail in the name of surgery, the police demanded its cancellation In June, Darshan Thoogudeepa was arrested on charges of murder. After this he sought bail several times, but each time his bail application was rejected. Finally on October 30, Darshan's lawyer sought bail, saying that the actor would have to undergo spinal surgery. The court gave him 6 weeks relief in the name of surgery. However, in a hearing held on Saturday, the Bangalore police asked the court to revoke the actor's bail based on strong evidence of a serious crime.

Charged with Fan's murder, the actor was seen leaving the crime scene On June 9, the body of an unidentified youth was found in a drain in Bengaluru's Kamakshipalya area. During investigation, the boy was identified as 33-year-old Renukaswamy, who worked in a medical store. The investigation into the murder led the police to the godown. While scanning the CCTV footage, Darshan and his girlfriend Pavitra Gowda were seen leaving the crime scene. Pavitra Gowda is also a Kannada actress. Darshan and Pavitra were arrested on June 11 after getting the CCTV footage.

One of the murder accused clicked a picture of Renukaswamy while torturing him.

Investigation revealed that the deceased was a fan of Renukaswamy Darshan. He considered him ideal, but when actress Pavitra Gowda revealed through a social media post in January that she had been in a relationship with the married Darshan for 10 years, Renukaswamy was hurt. He did not want Pavitra to stay with Darshan. He often sent threatening messages to Pavitra. When Pavitra complained about this to Darshan, he took the help of the people who run her fan club. First, Renukaswamy was lured to the godown, where he was tortured to death.

After the arrest, the police took Darshan and Pavitra to the spot.

According to the police, Darshan and his accomplices severely beat up Renukaswamy and electrocuted his private parts in the godown. Also, before killing Renukaswamy, it was Pavitra who hit him with a shoe. One of his ears was also cut off.
