'It's OK to make a film by selling a house, I don't like bowing down': Kangana said, 'I won't work under producer pressure, I can't tolerate exploitation anymore'

MP and actress Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency' is releasing on September 6. Kangana will be seen directing, producing and acting in the film. Kangana said that she will no longer work under the pressure of a producer. Producers exploit directors and actors unnecessarily. Kangana has said this in an interview given to Frontpage Insights. He also explained the reason for making a film on a sensitive issue like 'Emergency'. Question- Where did the idea of making a film like 'Emergency' come from? Answer- Today's generation does not know much about 'emergency'. Today's generation does not know how the situation was then. At that time the entire country turned into an open prison. I read the biography of Indira Gandhi. I realized that once a person sees power, it gradually comes into its grasp. Then the same power starts forcing him to do anything. Usually the lives of politicians are shown differently. I wanted to humanize the life of a leader through a film, thinking of this idea came to make it. Question- What were the challenges while making the film? Ans- The subject of the film is sensitive, so even thinking of making it was the most challenging task. The characters of Atal Ji, Jai Prakash Narayan Ji and Advani Ji will also be seen in the film. It was not easy to show the atrocities that happened to him on screen at that time. Question- Apart from acting, you have also handled the responsibility of production and direction, what would you say? Answer- There was a reason behind becoming a producer. I did not want to work under any pressure. Producers in the industry sometimes put pressure on directors. Interfere with their work. I don't want all this. I also made the film with this in mind. However, I tell you the truth that I do not hesitate to give money to an artist. My team members say where will this money come from. I say that. (Laughing) Or sell my house.
