Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra recently spoke about the worst phase of life. He has said that his first feature film 'Sajay Maut' did not perform very well. Due to which he was disappointed. He also decided to commit suicide. But for the sake of his family he withdrew.
'I was one step away from death, but the love of my family stopped me' Speaking to NDTV, Vidhu Vinod said – Many people do not believe this, but many years ago I was about to commit suicide. I was frustrated and standing on the Lonavala highway, watching the moving trucks. I was one step away from my death. But the love of my family stopped me.
Was disappointed with the failure of the film Vidhu Vinod further said that the incident took place after the release of the film 'Sajae Maut'. Released in 1981, the film was an adaptation of the FTII diploma film Murder at Monkey Hill, starring Naseeruddin Shah. The film did not do well at the box office.
Vidhu said – Happiness is not in the result but in the struggle He said – People who know me now wonder if I even thought of something like this or went through this phase. But it must be said that it is okay. You fight your battles, some you win, some you lose. Happiness is not in the result but in fighting.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra got a lot of popularity with the movie '1942: A Love Story'. After this he did many blockbuster films like 'Munnabhai MBBS', '3 Idiots', 'PK' and 'Sanju'. Then returned to directing after 13 years with Shikara in 2020 and then did the film '12th Fail'.
