The 'MeToo' campaign started in Hollywood, but the fire of the campaign has spread to Bollywood and many famous stars have been accused of shocking allegations. A famous director also became a victim of this campaign. Who has been thirsting for a film for some time now. The director is none other than Sajid Khan, about whom his pain has now spilled out. Sajid Khan said in a recent interview that he has tried to end his life many times in the last 6 years.
Sajid Khan has recently spoken openly about this in a media interview. In which Sajid Khan said, 'I have thought about ending my life many times in the last six years.
Worst period of my life This has been the worst phase of my life. Even after getting the green light from the Film and Television Directors Association, I did not get any work for 6 years. I have been working in this film industry for 14 years. After my father we all brothers and sisters started working here. My mother would have been happy to see me getting back on my feet. I have gone through the worst phase of my career in the last 6 years.
'My case was a one-sided trial by the media' Notably, in the year 2018, Bollywood actresses also participated in the 'MeToo' campaign and shared their experiences. Meanwhile, Sajid was shooting for his film 'Housefull 4'. Then some actresses including Sherlyn Chopra also accused Sajid Khan of MeToo, after which Sajid faced a lot of criticism. He said, 'I left 'Housefull 4' because I didn't want to change the dates. My case was a one-sided trial by the media. I have never insulted women and never will. My mother taught me gender equality. I did not know that I would have to pay such a heavy price for my words.'
'I was outspoken, so people resented me' He continued, 'Everybody does that on YouTube now, but in the early days of my career I was doing sensational things to get headlines. When I worked on TV, my job was to entertain people. I used to offend a lot of people. When I watch some of my interviews today, I feel like I can go back with a time machine and stop that guy – say, 'Idiot, what are you talking about? Why are you so outspoken? Because, being too outspoken, I offended people. If I had understood, I would have apologized, but when work stops, you start questioning your life. I calmed down. Now I just want to work and live.
