In the year 2017, when Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan was taking a step forward in her career and making her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan with Raees, something happened that landed her in controversy. That year, a photo of Mahira went viral on the internet in which she was seen smoking a cigarette with actor Ranbir Kapoor.
After the Uri attack in 2016, the doors of Bollywood were closed for Pakistani stars. Mahira Khan's film with Shahrukh also flopped and on top of that a controversial photo with Ranbir broke her down so much that she thought her career was over. In a recent interview, the actress recalled the difficult times.
Mahira Khan spoke on the difficult times Speaking to the media, Mahira Khan said, “It's been a crazy journey. My viewers are a part of this journey with me. Divorce, having a child and having my child with me on this journey, being alone for so long, facing those images. Coming, being banned in another country… it was all crazy and it was a wonderful time. But there were moments that were much more difficult but I decided not to share them.”
The actress was crying all day Mahira Khan further added, “But I said to myself, 'Are you crazy? It's all going to be over.' Up and crying, it did a lot in my personal life.' It is to be noted that after the photo of Mahira and Ranbir from New York went viral, speculations about the two being in a relationship were rife.
