Actress Mamata Kulkarni talks about returning to Mumbai after 25 years and her relationship with drug mafia Vicky Goswami. He said that Vicky called him for the first time while he was in jail. She was in touch with Vicky till 2016. After this he never tried to contact Vicky. Mamata further said that she did not return to Mumbai to work in Bollywood. Also she does not want to make a comeback as an actress.
Mamata said- I had no relation with the world of drugs, I was only in a relationship with Vicky Talking to news agency ANI, Mamata said- I have no connection with the world of D (drugs). I have never met these people. Yes, I was associated with Vicky Goswami. My spiritual journey began in 1996. At that moment a guru came into my life.
I spent 12 years when I met Vicky when he called me when he was in Dubai jail. Then I got busy in meditation and worship. By the time she got out of jail in 2012, all my wishes were gone. There was nothing left to love or marry.
I had decided that I would not go back to India until it came out. Then he went to Kenya and I came to India for Kumbh Mela around 20212-13. I went straight from Dubai to Allahabad (now Prayagraj) and came back to Dubai for 10 days.
Mamata said- The last time I spoke to Vicky was in 2016. Mamata continued – Vicky went back to Kenya. Once or twice I went to meet him and came to Dubai. He was already charged in Kenya. I was not with him during that time. Even now I am not in touch with him. I last contacted him in 2016.
Mamata dismissed the marriage news with Vicky as false. In 2017, Thane Police issued non-bailable warrants against Mamata Kulkarni and drug mafia Vicky Goswami in a drug smuggling case. There were also reports that Mamta and Vicky have got married. However, Mamata dismissed the marriage news as rumours. He said- I have never married anyone and neither am I married. It is true that I love Vicky, but she should also know that now my first love is God.
Started career with Tamil film In 1991, Mamata started her career with a Tamil film. In 1992, he entered Bollywood with the film 'Tiranga'. The 1993 film 'Aashiq Awara' made Mamata a star. He was awarded the 'Filmfare New Face' award for this film. After this she was seen in films like 'Wakt Hamara Hai', 'Krantiveer', 'Karan Arjun', 'Baaji'. His last release was 'Kabhi Tum Kabhi Hum' released in the year 2002.
