Volkswagen launches new variants of Virtus and Tygun: Both 5-star rated vehicles with 40+ safety features, take on Honda City and Kia Seltos

Volkswagen India has launched two new variants of its sedan Virtus in India on October 3 – GT Line and GT Plus. The company has launched two new variants of its popular sedan Virtus: GT Line and GT Plus Sport, with some cosmetic updates compared to the regular variants.

The car is available with regular model engine options. Apart from this, Volkswagen has also launched new Highline Plus variants of the Virtus and Tigun, along with some new features added to the GT variants of the Tigun.

Highlights Volkswagen Virtus GT Line and GT Plus Sport launched, prices starting at Rs 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom).

Both variants feature black-out elements for the exterior.

The GT Line variant adds some features to the GT range to make it more affordable.

The Virtus GT line comes with a 1-litre turbo-petrol, while the GT Plus Sportsma gets a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol.

A new mid-spec Highline Plus variant has been launched for the Vertus and Tygun, making premium features more accessible.

The topline variants of the Virtus and Tygun now come with a standard amplifier and subwoofer.

Volkswagen has refreshed the variant lineup for the Virtus sedan and introduced a new GT variant, priced at Rs. 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom) starting from Rs. The new GT line makes the “GT” badging and treatment more accessible, and is now available with a smaller 1-litre turbo-petrol engine. Both the new GT variants are offered with blacked-out exterior elements, while the GT Plus Sport also gets red inserts.

Along with the new GT variant, Volkswagen has also added a new mid-spec Highline Plus variant for both the Virtus and the Tigun. The idea behind this is to make certain facilities more accessible and affordable.
