Aamir Khan's son Junaid started his acting career with the 2024 film 'Maharaj'. However, if Junaid is to be believed, before this he was to be seen in Lal Singh Chadha. The shooting of the film had also started, but was later shelved. At Kiran Rao's request, Sparsh Srivastava was cast in his place in the film Missing Ladies.
Recently, in an interview given to Vicky Lalwani, Junaid Khan explained the reason for not appearing in Missing Ladies and Lal Singh Chadha. He said, I would have seen Lal Singh in Chadha. I auditioned for it. At that time Kiran Rao was playing the role of my mother. We have shot 7-8 scenes of the film. We shot for 4 days and shot a 20-minute segment. Papa (Aamir Khan) wanted to see how I was doing. But it didn't work. It was a big budget film to cast a new guy.
Junaid Khan is the son of Aamir Khan and his first wife Reena Dutta.
On not being able to work in Missing Ladies, Junaid said, things were completely different with Missing Ladies. I auditioned for the film, but Kiran said Sparsh Srivastava was better for the part and I agree with him.
Aamir Khan also gave Missing Ladies Audition Apart from Junaid Khan, Aamir Khan also auditioned for Missing Ladies. He was supposed to play the role of a policeman in this film. But Kiran Rao cast Ravi Kishan in that role. In an interview to The Week, Kiran Rao said, Aamir and I had a long discussion on this character. I wanted Aamir to play Manohar. Aamir also auditioned for the role which was amazing but when I showed him Ravi Kishan's audition tape for the role, Aamir himself said that the role suits Ravi Kishan better.
I think Ravi Kishan is a complete surprise in this character. While Aamir has his own unique way of playing each character. However, Aamir later felt that he could not do justice to the character. It was he who told me that Ravi would play this character better.
Junaid Khan made his acting debut in 2024 with Yash Raj Production's film Maharaj. In the coming days he will be seen opposite Khushi Kapoor in Loveyapa, directed by Advet Chandan. Boney Kapoor's daughter and Janhvi Kapoor's younger sister will make her Bollywood debut with this film.
