A complaint under the POCSO Act was filed a few days ago against TV queen Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobhi Kapoor, who is the managing director of Balaji Telefilms. Now an official statement has been issued from Ekta Kapoor's company Alt Balaji regarding this. In a statement, the company denied the allegations and said it would cooperate with the law in the matter.
Regarding the various media reports regarding the web series – Gandi Baat, Alt Digital Media Entertainment Limited clarifies that it fully complies with all applicable laws including the POCSO Act and any reference to the engagement of minors in the company in any way is completely false, the statement read.

The company wrote further – further clarifying that Ms Shobha Kapoor and Ekta R Kapoor are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the company and it is managed by a separate team, including its content strategy. The company has full confidence in the judiciary and is fully cooperating with the authorities in the investigation. The company refrains from commenting in detail as the matter is in court.
Notably, Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor were accused of showing obscene scenes of minors in their web series 'Gandi Baat' streamed on OTT platforms. After which a complaint was filed against him under the POCSO Act. Mumbai Police has also questioned him in this matter.

Many users have accused Ekta Kapoor of showing extramarital affairs to soldiers' wives behind their backs. Others, meanwhile, pointed out that many shows on ALTBalaji insulted Hindu sentiments by showing extramarital affairs between family members and in-laws.
