Rajinikanth started his career as a side hero. The financial condition of the family was also not good. Once a producer cast him in a film. However, the producer was not paying the fee to the actor on time. When Rajinikanth spoke to him once or twice about the fee, he got upset. He shouted and kicked Rajinikanth out of the film.
After getting fired from the film, Rajinikanth didn't even have money to go home from the studio. After that the actor did the entire journey on foot. This happened when Rajinikanth was not a superstar. He acted in only a few films, he was yet to emerge as a successful actor.
Narrating this incident at the audio launch of the 2020 film 'Darbar', Rajinikanth said that the film '16 Vyaadhinile' was released. People started recognizing me on the streets because of my role. During this time a producer offered me a good role in a film. I demanded Rs 10,000 from him. However, he reduced it to 6 thousand rupees. After this I asked for 100 or 200 rupees to strengthen this verbal agreement, he said that some money will be available on the day of shooting. I believed the producer.
The producer threw Rajinikanth out of the film with a shout Rajinikanth further said, 'Even when I went to the sets, I didn't get a single rupee. After that I called the makers and they said that the payment will be made before the makeup. But still not received the fee. Other heroes also came for shooting, but I refused to work.
The producer reached the studio in an ambassador car. He shouted at me badly. I was kicked out of the project saying that I was not a big enough artist to create such a ruckus.
Rajinikanth did not even have rent money Rajinikanth continued, 'I had no money. Because of this, I went back home thinking about what happened. On the way, I promised myself that if I don't enter the same studio in a foreign car, I'm not Rajinikanth.
Rajinikanth fulfilled his promise to himself. Rajinikanth said that he got success after 2 years of hard work. After this he bought a foreign made Fiat car worth Rs 4.25 lakh. After this he also hired an Anglo Indian driver. After making all these arrangements, he went to the studio where he was dropped from the film.
