Controversy continues between Tamil actors Dhanush and Nayantara over the documentary 'Nayantara: Beyond the Fairytale'. Recently, Dhanush sent a legal notice to Nayantara and her husband and filmmaker Vignesh Sivan regarding the documentary. Dhanush has alleged that Nayantara has used songs and visuals from the film 'Nanum Rowdy Dhan' in this documentary without his permission.
Now Nayantara's lawyer Rahul Dhawan has reacted on this issue. The lawyer says that he has given a formal reply to Dhanush's legal notice. In which it is said that no copyright laws have been violated by using the scene. Lawyer Rahul further said – the behind the scenes scenes used in the documentary are not from the film. That clip belongs to a personal library, so no infringement.
The lawyer also said that the next hearing of the case could be held in the Madras High Court on Monday.
What is the whole matter? Nayantara sought permission from Dhanush for the songs and visuals from her film 'Nanum Rowdy Dhan' for her documentary 'Nayantara: Beyond the Fairy Tale', but Dhanush refused her permission and later accused of stealing only 3 seconds of visuals after watching the trailer of the documentary. A legal notice of Rs 10 crore was sent to the actress. It is noteworthy that Nayantara herself was the lead actress in the film 'Nanum Rowdy Dhan'.
