The accused who threatened Salman Khan with death and demanded a ransom of Rs 2 crore was arrested by the Mumbai police on Wednesday. He was identified as Azam Mohammad Mustafa (56 years).
According to a report by news agency PTI, the accused is a resident of Bandra, Mumbai.
Azam sent a message to the Mumbai traffic police saying that the actor's life would be taken if the money was not paid. After receiving the message, the officials present in Worli started an investigation against the person who sent the message.

He has been identified as Mohammad Taib (20). ACP Noida Praveen Kumar Singh said- The accused will be produced in Surajpur court. From there, Mumbai Police will take him on transit remand.
Taib sent a message to the Bandra office of Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of NCP leader Bab Siddiqui, on the evening of October 25. In which Salman Khan and Zeeshan were threatened with death if the ransom was not paid. An employee of Zeeshan filed an FIR with the police.

The accused was arrested from Jharkhand in the case of threatening Salman Even before this, six days after Baba Siddiqui's murder (October 12), Salman received death threats. The threat was sent through a WhatsApp message to the Mumbai Traffic Control Room. Dado claimed to be a member of the Lawrence gang.
According to Mumbai Police, the threatening message read – Do not take this lightly. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end his enmity with Lawrence, he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not given, Salman Khan's condition will be worse than Baba Siddiqui's. The Mumbai Police arrested him on October 23 from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand
On October 12, Salman's close friend Baba Siddiqui was shot dead.
