Coldplay concert tickets sold out in minutes: Users express displeasure on social media, Ahmedabad show to be held in January 2025

Coldplay's fourth concert is going to be held in Ahmedabad. Tickets for this concert went on sale on BookMyShow on Saturday afternoon and within minutes all the tickets were sold and the booking was full. Many users who were upset with this expressed their displeasure on social media. Earlier on September 24, Frontpage Insights revealed through a sting operation that tickets for the Coldplay concert to be held in India were being black marketed on a large scale. In this sting operation, we bought a ticket worth Rs 3500 for Rs 70,000.

Tickets sold out within minutes According to media reports, around 5 lakh people were waiting in the virtual waiting room when bookings for the first show opened at 12 noon on Saturday (January 25). But by 12:44 pm all the tickets were sold out and around 4 lakh people were left in the waiting room. There were no technical problems with the website. After this, the booking for the second show (January 26) started at 1 pm, and this time too there were 4 lakh people in the waiting room. After 44 minutes, these tickets were also sold out and around 3 lakh people remained in the waiting room. Meanwhile, on reselling sites like Viagogo, these tickets were being sold for six times the official price.

Ticket booking information was provided by Coldplay On 16 November, a post was shared by Coldplay on social media, giving information about the booking of a concert to be held in Ahmedabad. The post reads, 'We are announcing the date of our second show. Our show will be held on 26 January 2025 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, tickets for which can be booked today at 1 PM.
