Chunky Pandey has revealed that he had to struggle a lot in the beginning of his career. There came a time when he was short of work after working in many hit films. As a result, he had to go to Bangladesh and work in the film industry there. Along with doing films, he also worked in property dealing there, so that he could earn a good living.
Chunky has said these things in an episode of YouTube channel We Are Young. Meanwhile, his daughter Ananya Pandey was also present.
Ananya is Chunky's elder daughter. The actor's second daughter is Raisa Pandey.
Chunky explained the reason for not taking Ananya to the set Ananya asks Chunky why he never took her to the sets. In reply Chunky said- Let me tell you why you never came to my sets. I was at a low point when your mother and I got married. I just came back from Bangladesh and was looking for work for myself. I never bothered to call you on the set or your mother on the set and it has been like that ever since.
My father advised me to learn acting Chunky also revealed that he had to struggle a lot to establish himself as an actor. About this Chunky said – When I told my father about becoming an actor, he said it's fine, you want to be an actor, but you don't have any acting background. Prepare yourself first.
Because of this I went to different acting classes and started modeling to earn money. I was very used to earning money. I tried from 19 to 23. I was rejected from many auditions.
Chunky has acted in films like Paap Ki Duniya, Vishwatma, Lootere.
Worked in property dealing in Bangladesh Not getting work in Hindi films, Chunky went to Bangladesh to try his luck. About this he said- I had blockbuster films. I didn't really have any work after the film 'Ankhe'. I got the only film after the film 'Ankhe'. After that I went to Bangladesh because I couldn't find any work. Films were made there. Fortunately those films ran. I made it my home in a way. But yes it was scary, but I didn't stop working.
I opened an event company there. I started doing events. I started dealing in property, bought lands. I put my ego aside and told myself I had to survive. That's why I did it all, but I learned a lot in the process.
Chunky said – could not ask for money from parents Chunky finally said- I was badly broke due to financial crisis. If you are a boy and you have started your career, you cannot go back and ask for money from your parents. I have not even told these things to anyone.
