There are reports that a bus, which was full of crew members, met with an accident near the shooting site. 20 crew members were injured in the accident. There were also reports that the shoot had to be stopped after the accident, however the makers have now issued an official statement calling it a minor accident.
A police officer who arrived at the time of the accident told PTI that the bus full of crew members was returning to Kollur after finishing shooting in Madur, Jadkal. 20 junior actors were present in the mini bus when the accident took place. The injured have been admitted to Jadkal and Kunderpur hospitals. As reported by News 18, 6 crew members have been seriously injured in the accident and have been admitted to Jadkal Mahalakshmi Hospital.
The makers clarified that it was a minor accident. On the one hand there are reports that Kantara; The shooting of Chapter-1 has been stopped. On the other hand, people associated with the film have issued an official statement calling it a minor accident. The statement said that the news in the headlines is false. The team of Kantara: Chapter 1 has started shooting from 6 am today and everything is going normally. A minor accident occurred 20 kilometers from the shooting location, in which some members of the Kantara team were present in a local bus, but no one was injured in the accident.
The movie Kantara: Chapter 1 is going to be a prequel to the massive hit Kantara released in the year 2022. The shooting of the film started in November last year.
