Bollywood stars will gather in 'Pink City' Jaipur in March next year. An agreement was reached on Sunday to host Hindi cinema's biggest award, the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA).
Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Diya Kumari was also present in this ceremony organized at Jaipur's Albert Hall. Tourism Commissioner Vijay Pal signed the MOU for this 25th IIFA award show.
IIFA Vice President Suresh Iyer was present on this occasion. The program will be held in Jaipur from March 7 to 9 next year.
After signing the MOU on Sunday, the Rajasthan government has started preparations for the award show. Its planning will cost around 60 crore rupees.
Second time IIFA in India
The IIFA award show will be held for three days from March 7 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC). It will be held for the second time in India, previously held in Mumbai in 2019. Hosting IIFA in Jaipur is expected to be beneficial in terms of tourism and industry. According to tourism industry experts, the arrival of celebrities will increase the demand of domestic and international tourists. The Jaipur Literature Festival is by far the most important event organized at the international level in Jaipur.
Deputy CM Diya Kumari said-
Holding the 25th edition of IIFA in Jaipur is an important event from the tourism point of view. Today we have signed an MOU with the IIFA team. Jaipur will be the second city in India to host IIFA. This is an initiative of Rising Rajasthan. The event will be held in March. There will be many types of investments here in terms of entertainment and tourism. This will be a three-day award ceremony. One day there will be music awards. The film awards will be organized on the next day.
Vice President of IIFA Suresh Iyer said-
We are very happy to come to Rajasthan. Our phenomenon is global. After Mumbai we are now moving towards Jaipur in India. Rajasthan has always been close to Bollywood. This event will benefit from historical experience. The event is going to be very special on the backdrop of Rajasthan.
