Karan is a resident of Delhi Karan Mehra was born on 28 December 1977 in Delhi. On his grandmother's advice, he added his late grandfather's name Veer to his name. Karan studied till 10th standard in a boarding school in Mussoorie. After this he did his further studies in a school in Delhi. After completing his schooling, he completed his graduation from Delhi College of Arts and Commerce.

After divorcing Devika, Karan married Nidhi Seth in 2021. But their relationship also did not last long and they got separated in 2023.
