Singer and musician Shekhar Ravjiani, who has given voice to great songs like 'Tuje Bhula Diya', 'Bin Tere' and 'Meherbaan', recently made a big revelation. The duo of Vishal-Shekhar has given Bollywood hits, though there was a time when Shekhar lost his voice. Recently, the singer has said that he was devastated by the accident. He thought he would never sing again in life.
Shekhar Ravjiani recently recalled this bad time in his life through a social media post. He wrote, “I have never talked about this before, but I felt I should talk about it.” I lost my voice 2 years ago. I had vocal cord paralysis, diagnosed by Dr. Done by Nupur Nerukar. I was devastated. I thought I would never be able to sing again in my life.
Singer further wrote, My family was worried and I was not happy to see them worried. I used to pray a lot. I met Jeremy in San Diego, he introduced me to an angel, who I will mention later. Dr. Erin Walsh – who I couldn't meet due to covid, so she joined me via zoom call. I cried when I told them, I want to sing again. I was very disappointed. But he gave me faith and gave me a glimmer of hope that I would be able to sing again.'
Shekhar further wrote in his post, “Every time I tried, I was frustrated by my hoarse voice. But he kept working on my voice. He treated diligently and healed my paralyzed left vocal cord within a few weeks. Now I can sing well. Dr. Erin Walsh is an angel on earth.'
Shekhar's friend and fellow musician Vishal Dadlani wrote in the comment, “I have seen you doing this.” He has done this in the midst of fear. It requires a different kind of courage. I still see how you take care of your voice and mental health. Obviously I am learning from this too.
The duo of Vishal-Shekhar has scored music for dozens of superhit films like 'Das', 'Om Shanti Om', 'Student of the Year', 'Chennai Express', 'Sultan', 'War'.
