Big difference between writing films and TV shows: Salman is interested in screenplay writing, offers suggestions; When Sanjay Dutt started crying after hearing the story

Can a film be imagined without a story? The answer would be no. After all, the audience likes or dislikes a film depending on the story. The initial work of shaping the story of a film is done by screenplay writers.

A film screenplay is usually 90 to 120 pages long. It may take writers about 3 months or more to write it. However, despite doing so much creative work, writers get paid less than actors and directors.

In this week's 'Reel to Real', we'll talk about the differences between script and screenplay writing, its process, challenges and budget. For this we spoke to writers Raj Shandilya and Rajiv Kaul. Both also told some interesting things related to the actors.

He said that once Sanjay Dutt started crying after hearing the script of the film. Her character was changed in the film 'Ready' on Salman Khan's request.

A screenplay is necessary to tell a story A story is needed to make a film. Initially, it is considered whether a film can be made on it or not. This idea can be 2 words or 2 pages. The whole story is built on this idea. We need a screenplay to tell this story. This means that the larger form of the story is the screenplay, which is seen on the big screen.

The screenplay of the film is 90 to 120 pages. Usually a film screenplay is 90 to 120 pages. Because usually the runtime of the film is between one and a half hours to two hours. A page in a screenplay is usually about a minute of screen time.

What is a bounded script? A bound script means you have everything ready. Which includes story, screenplay and dialogues. This makes the actor understand everything easily. It needs no further description.

Comedy requires emotion Raj Shandilya said that writing a screenplay in the comedy genre requires a lot of emotion. He also said that only middle class kids can do good comedy because they have a lot of emotions. Those people have suffered a lot in their life, due to which they can turn sorrow into laughter.

Raj Shandilya is Kapil Sharma's first writer Raj has worked with Kapil Sharma in a comedy circus show. He said, 'I had already written a script for Kapil ji so that I would definitely narrate it to him when he becomes a part of the show. I also messaged him.

Later, when he came on this show, he remembered my message. He asked himself to tell the story. He liked the story very much. After that I started writing for him.'

Comedian Sudesh Lahiri cannot read the script, he has to memorize it Raj has also worked with comedian Sudesh Lahiri. Narrating an interesting case of Sudesh, he said, 'Sudesh cannot read a script, be it in Hindi or Punjabi. They have to recite the entire script and memorize it. Once I wrote his script and went out for shooting. Then I had to narrate the entire script over the phone for 3 hours.

Sanjay Dutt started crying after hearing the story of the film Raj has also written the story of Sanjay Dutt's film 'Bhoomi'. He said, 'I wrote a film on a serious issue for the first time. When I narrated the script to Sanjay Baba (Sanjay Dutt), he started crying. He even hugged me.

During the shooting of this film I was in touch with Baba for 4-5 months. Sanjay Dutt's image is very different in the society, but actually he is very innocent. He also told me about his experience of going to jail, his relationship with his father and many stories from the film sets. He is always asking about the well being of me and my family.

Often the payment of writers is stopped Rajeev Kaul said that a script writer has to face many problems. The biggest problem is getting low fees and not getting fees on time. Big production houses hire writers for huge fees. While the pay scales of small production houses are low.

It often happens that new writers work for free with the production house just to get credit in the film. So that their future becomes golden.

However, sometimes it also happens that writers do not get their fees on time. It happened with Rajiv that his payment stopped. However, he did not reveal the name of the film and the director-producer. Because this makes it difficult to get a job.

He further said, 'If the film is a hit, the credit goes to the actor and the director. It is said that the director's vision was very good. He got the best out of the actors. But when a film flops, the entire blame is put on the writer. It is said that the author did not write the story well. Really sad to see this.

Govinda understands things quickly Rajeev has worked with Govinda in 10-12 films including 'Shola Aur Shabnam', 'Dulhe Raja'. Praising Govinda, Rajeev said, 'He is the kind of artist who captures everything written in the script with ease.'

His character changed on Salman's request Rajeev said that many actors also give suggestions after reading the script. Sometimes even Rajiv accepts his suggestions. He said, 'Salman Khan gave him a suggestion during the film 'Ready'. About this he says, 'I wanted Salman's look to be a bit like a family man. Then Salman himself told me to make my character a little funny.

I found his suggestion to be right and shaped his character accordingly. The film also received a positive response from the fans.

Sometimes there is a heated discussion about the screenplay Rajeev said that sometimes there are arguments between the writer, actor and director regarding the screenplay. Many times he himself has clashed with director Anees Bazmee.

Rajiv said that in some cases the matter even reaches the level of term-abuse. However, he says that everyone wants the film to do well. For this reason, some differences of opinion are inevitable.
