'Bhool Bhulaiyya 3' actress' pain spills over: Dropped from serial, replaced somewhere, Rose Sardana says – Quit TV show after getting bored

Actress Rose Sardana started her career in television, but did not find success. The slim actress quit TV and started trying for films. Rose Sardana, who has worked in films like 'Drashyam 2' and 'Wild Wild Punjab', has released 'Bhool Bhulaiya 3'. Recently the actress spoke to Frontpage Insights. Here are some special highlights…

How was your journey from the start of your career to 'Bhool Bhoolaiyya 3'? It has been quite an experience-filled journey so far. A city like Mumbai has had many ups and downs. I never thought about movies. I felt that the world of films was very different. That's why I want to make a career in television, but never succeeded in television. I was either kicked out of the show or replaced.

When did you get your first opportunity on television, how was your experience? Two months after coming to Mumbai, I got an opportunity in Balaji Telefilms' show 'Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi'. I was very happy, but I did not know how to shoot? Was very nervous while giving the first shot. Anil Sir (Anil V Kumar) was directing that show. He started scolding me so much that I started crying. After two months I was fired from the show.

How did you handle yourself when you were kicked out of the show? At that time I did not feel bad at all. I could not perform properly. Why would any production house want to bear losses? Even after that my journey in television has been very sad. Every show I've done I've been fired or replaced. Many shows were closed. This happened to me wherever I tried to do TV. I did the show 'Hum Aapke Ghar Mein Rahte Hai' for SAB TV. I had a major role in this. I thought life was set now. Four months later you get a call from production that you are being transferred. Chanel is not happy with your work.

What did you do after that? I started trying for OTT and films. From there I started getting responses. I got an opportunity to work in 'Drashyam 2'. It was only a small role, but people noticed the character. After this I worked in Luv Ranjan's film 'Wild Wild Punjab'. The best part was that the film was shot in my home town Chandigarh. The film was released on Netflix. After this I got an opportunity in 'Bhool Bhoolaiyya 3'.

How did you get the chance to be in 'Bhool Bhulaiya 3'? I got this film through an audition. The most memorable moment for me was the meeting with Madhuri Ma'am (Madhuri Dixit) during the shooting of this film. I never dreamed that I would perform with Madhuri madam. In this film I have played the role of Tripti Dimri's sister. I didn't tell anyone about it when I was doing the film. I was afraid of what would happen if I faced rejection. My parents were used to hearing rejection. Who knows what will happen to this, they thought.

When you initially told your parents about the acting profession, what was their reaction? When I told my mother, she thought I was crazy. Dad was not ready at all. I was working in Bangalore. Dad wanted me to just do a job. I was not happy with the job. Within seven months went into full depression. In those days my younger brother was living in Mumbai. She came to Mumbai on the pretext of meeting him. It was difficult for me if brother was not there at that time.

How did you survive in Mumbai? I have been anchoring concerts for the past ten years. This helped me a lot financially. Parents also kept calm as she was earning something. Otherwise they were very worried what she would be doing in Mumbai? Even the words of relatives hurt a lot. Once parents were called to Mumbai. Then she lived in a small room. I lived in a small room. It didn't matter to him. She was very happy to see the atmosphere of Mumbai. Mumbai is a city where even at 2 am girls roam without fear.

What did your relatives say to your parents? Relatives used to call and harass parents a lot. They were asking did you watch TV yesterday or not today. What would she be doing in Mumbai? They were saying that she is ruining her life in Mumbai. Get her married. Hearing this, the parents were also annoying by calling.

When did you decide to pursue a career in acting? Watching films of Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla, I felt what kind of world this is. At that time everything seemed like a dream. Thinking about films in a city like Chandigarh was a big deal. I just thought about TV. I consider myself lucky that I got a chance to work in a film like 'Bhool Bhoolaiya 3'.
