Arrest hanging on Ram Gopal Verma!: After objectionable remarks on CM of Andhra Pradesh, police reached home, filmmaker missing

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who has made blockbuster films like 'Satya' and 'Rangeela', is surrounded by clouds of crisis. A team of Andhra Pradesh Police reached Ram Gopal Verma's house in Hyderabad after he posted on social media Chief Minister N. Said insulting words against Chandrababu Naidu and his family members. Ram Gopal Varma was supposed to appear before the police for questioning in the case, but he did not appear.

Ram Gopal Varma fled the city? When Ongole police officers reached Ram Gopal Verma's house, they did not find the filmmaker, but the police raided his house, as he failed to appear before the officer for the second time in a row. According to reports, he may also be arrested in this case. A huge drama ensued when the police realized that the filmmaker was not at home and it is believed that he had left for Coimbatore to avoid arrest. Ram Gopal Varma posted insulting posts against Andhra Pradesh CM, Deputy CM and Minister Lokesh during the movie 'Vyoham', due to which the Andhra Pradesh Police has sought his detention.

Accused of tarnishing the image of Andhra Pradesh CM Last week, Ram Gopal Verma sought four days' time to appear before the police. It is alleged that he tried to malign the image of CM Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Information and Technology Minister Nara Lokesh and others. On November 11, the police registered a case against the filmmaker on the complaint of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Ramalingam.

An offense under these sections is filed Ram Gopal Varma wrote controversial things on social media platforms. A case has been registered against Ram under Sections 336 (4) and 353 (2) of the BNS Act and Section 67 of the IT Act at the Maddipadu Police Station. On November 13, the police issued a notice to Ram Gopal Varma and directed him to appear before the investigating officer at the Maddipadu police station. Ram Gopal Verma then approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court, but the court refused to grant him interim relief. Ram Gopal Verma refused to appear before the investigating officer and applied for interim bail.

What is the whole matter? Ram Gopal Varma has always been outspoken on political issues. He is a supporter of YSR Congress Party and has been making statements against Chandrababu Naidu and his party. Ram Gopal Varma's film 'Vyuham' was released in March this year. The film revolves around the death of then Chief Minister YSR Rajasekhar Reddy in a helicopter crash in 2009 and the political journey of his son Jagan Mohan Reddy. The film was slated to release during the Andhra Pradesh assembly and Lok Sabha elections last year, but the film had to be postponed due to controversy.

Nara Lokesh, son of the then Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, demanded a ban on the release of the film. He said that the film was made to malign the image of his family. Amid controversies, Ram Gopal Varma made several social media posts during the film's promotions, in which he wrote objectionable remarks against Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM and Minister Lokesh. He also posted a morphed photo of himself, on the basis of which a complaint has now been filed against him.

On 13 December 2023, after controversies, the film 'Vyuham' was granted a U certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification, after which the film was released on 2 March 2024.
