The film is being produced by Sriram Raghavan, who has previously produced popular films like 'Andhadhun' and 'Badlapur'. It will be a complete war drama film, based on the story of Arun Khetrapal's bravery and sacrifice.
Who was Arun Khetrapal? Arun Khetrapal was born on October 14, 1950 in Pune. He came from a military family. Arun Khetrapal was martyred on December 16, 1971 after displaying extraordinary valor in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. He was only 21 years old at that time. In recognition of his bravery and sacrifice during the war, Arun Khetrapal was posthumously awarded the Paramvir Chakra.
Varun Dhawan was the first choice for this film Varun Dhawan's name was first finalized for 'Ikkis'. Sriram Raghavan and Varun have worked together in 'Badlapur'. Before the Corona pandemic, there were reports that the two will work together again in the biographical war drama 'Ikkis'. But in the year 2022, it was announced that Varun has been replaced by Agastya Nanda. In this regard, Sriram Raghavan said in an interview that, 'Initially, only Varun Dhawan was in the film, but after the Corona epidemic, we discussed and found out that this role would not suit Varun Dhawan.'
Dharmendra is also a part of 'Ikkis' Notably, veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra is also a part of the film 'Ikkis'. He will be seen in the role of Arun Khetrapal's father.
