Abhishek Bachchan's film 'I Want To Talk' has been released recently. The actor is busy promoting this film. Meanwhile, in an interview, he revealed that he thought of quitting acting when all his films were flopping continuously. However, at that time his father Amitabh Bachchan advised him to be patient and keep working. Big B believed that there is a good actor hidden inside Abhishek, which can be revealed at the right time.
Abhishek Bachchan told Galata Plus, 'My films were constantly flopping and then suddenly my performance started being severely criticized. Not only that, I was working with the big directors of that time. I had a hope that they would teach me something and correct my mistakes, but nothing was changing.
Abhishek said, 'I once told my father that we should talk. I think I made a mistake. I don't think I'm good at acting because whatever I do, nothing goes right. I have done everything. Have done all kinds of films. Have worked with all kinds of filmmakers. But nothing is happening. Maybe now I should be honest with myself and say I'm not cut out for this. I must find something else now.'
Recalling father Amitabh Bachchan's advice, Abhishek said, 'My father Amitabh Bachchan told me that look, I am not talking as your father, but as a senior. You are not a fully prepared actor yet. You need to learn a lot. But I am seeing improvement in each of your films. A good actor is hidden inside you. How good you can be depends on you and how hard you want to work, sign whatever film you get and keep working. I did something similar.
Abhishek said, 'I never thought anything after this advice from my father. It didn't matter if the role was big or small. I did all kinds of roles until I felt confident in myself. Until I got box office success and people started seeing me as a lead actor again.
