Tata Steel profits of ₹758 crore in second quarter: Revenue fell 3.19% to ₹53,904 crore, stock gave 28% return in one year

Tata Steel's consolidated net profit in the second quarter (July-September) of the financial year 2024-25 increased to ₹ 758.84 crore on an annual basis (YoY). The company had suffered a loss of Rs 6,511 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

Tata Steel has released its second quarter results today on 6 November. Consolidated revenue from operations of Tata Steel has declined by 3.19% on an annual basis.

Revenue in the second quarter stood at ₹53,904 crore

Revenue from operations stood at ₹53,904 crore in Q2FY25. Revenue in the same quarter a year ago i.e. second quarter of FY24 was ₹55,681 crore.

Tata Steel shares gave 28% return in one year

Tata Steel shares closed 1.00% higher at ₹153.81 today. It has given 28.82% returns in the last one year. The stock has fallen 8.23% in the last 6 months. The market cap of the company is Rs 1.92 lakh crore.

What is standalone and consolidated?

The results of companies come in two parts – standalone and consolidated. Standalone shows the financial performance of only one unit. Whereas, in the consolidated financial report, the entire company is reported.
