Today, on the day of Diwali i.e. 31st October, a decline is being seen in the stock market. Sensex is trading around 79,660 with a fall of about 300 points. At the same time, there is a decline of about 90 points in Nifty, it is trading around 24,250.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 are showing decline and 9 are seeing rise. Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 34 are showing decline and 16 are seeing rise.
Mixed business in Asian market
In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei is down by 0.41%. Whereas Korea's Kospi is trading with a rise of 0.82% and China's Shanghai Composite is trading with a rise of 0.36%.
On October 30, America's Dow Jones closed at 42,141 after falling 0.22% and the S&P 500 fell 0.33% at 5,813.67. The Nasdaq fell 0.56% to 18,607.
According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹19,522 crore on October 30. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 13,594 crore.
There was a decline in the market yesterday on Chhoti Diwali
Yesterday i.e. Wednesday (29 October) on the day of Chhoti Diwali, the Sensex fell by 426 points and closed at the level of 79,942. At the same time, Nifty fell by 126 points and closed at the level of 24,340.
After the day's trading, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 were down and 11 were up. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 31 were in decline and 19 were up.
The biggest decline in the sectoral index of NSE was in the shares of Financial Services and Pharma. Financial Services shares fell 1.45%. Whereas, Pharma shares were down by 1%.
