There is a rise in the stock market today i.e. on 21st October. Sensex is trading at the level of 81,700 with a rise of more than 400 points. At the same time, there is a rise of more than 100 points in Nifty, it is trading at 24,950.
More growth is being seen in IT, banking and metal shares today. Shares of HDFC Bank and Tech Mahindra are up by about 3%. There is a decline in auto and energy shares today.
Asian markets rose today
- In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei has gained 0.33%. Korea's Kospi is trading up by 0.76% and China's Shanghai Composite is trading up by 0.62%.
- On October 18, America's Dow Jones rose 0.08% to 43,275 and Nasdaq closed 0.63% to 18,489. The S&P 500 rose 0.40% to 5,864.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹5,485 crore on October 18. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹5,214 crore.
2 IPOs will open from today
From today i.e. 21st October, 2 IPO Initial Public Offers i.e. IPOs will be open. These IPOs will be of Deepak Builders and Engineers India Limited and Vaari Energies Limited Company. Investors will be able to bid for this issue till October 23. The company's shares will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on October 28.
There was a rise in the market on Friday
Earlier on Friday i.e. 18th October, a rise was seen in the stock market. The Sensex closed at 81,224 with a gain of 218 points. There was also a rise of 104 points in Nifty, it closed at the level of 24,854.
